Mayor Alvin Brown has had to significantly scale back his Learn2Earn program that starts Sunday after failing to raise as much money as he expected for education initiatives.
In addition, he’s raised no money to go toward Superintendent Nikolai Vitti’s new Parent Academy, though he pledged this year to do so. However, private donors have committed more than $600,000 over three years for Vitti’s program, giving him enough to start his program as planned this fall.
